Cyber Hygiene is Generally Poor, Cyber Attacks Generally Common

Written by Jeremy Fuchs | August 30, 2022

Just 3% of global security leaders rate their cyber hygiene as "Excellent," according to a new report. It's no surprise, then, that 75% of those surveyed in the same report said they experienced a cyberattack in the last year.

It doesn't help, then, that cyber insurance premiums increased in 2021 by 92% year over year. One reason is that insurers kept just 27 cents per every dollar paid in a premium. In 2019, that number was 52 cents on the dollar.

What can you do as a business? You can start by improving your cyber hygiene. Not only will that help keep you safer, but it will help you receive lower premiums.
