Why MTAs Are Yesterday's Technology

Now that email is in the cloud, securing it with an MTA doesn't make much sense anymore. 

In this webinar, we explain why, but here are some key reasons:

• By default, gateways don't scan internal emails. To do so requires complex configurations for scanning that is not in real-time.
• Gateways are blind to file sharing through commonly used platforms like OneDrive.
• Because your MX record points to the gateway instead of your email provider, hackers know that you’re using it for security.
• If you’re going to use a gateway for email security, your email provider can only see the connecting IP (which is your gateway) and not the originating IP
