In a new report, Omdia named Avanan as a leader in the email security space. The report praises Avanan’s technological capabilities and singles out Avanan as a “special case” due to its ability to claim the “status of a fully-fledged email security platform (i.e. one that can replace an SEG and a non-SEG as the sole provider of inbox security for Office 365 or Gmail)." Further, Check Point’s acquisition of Avanan was highlighted, noting that the addition “into Harmony should position Check Point as a stronger WFH security contender” due to the fact that Harmony now “secures remote workers, their devices, and their data, with protection from malicious files, URLs, and phishing across email, collaboration suites, web, network, and endpoint.”

Its invisible, multi-layer security enables full-suite protection for cloud collaboration solutions such as Office 365™, G-Suite™, and Slack™. The platform deploys in one click via API to block phishing, malware, data leakage, account takeover, and shadow IT across the enterprise.
