Avanan now allows administrators to add a customizable banner to phishing simulation emails in Security Awareness Training (SAT).

This new capability helps organizations make phishing simulations more realistic by aligning them with their corporate email appearance, ensuring users cannot easily distinguish simulations from real external emails.

Administrators can now configure a banner that appears in every phishing simulation email. This makes it possible to replicate their organization’s external email banner and better assess employees’ ability to recognize phishing attempts. By mimicking the company’s usual email indicators, training results become more authentic and valuable, providing stronger insights into user behavior and awareness levels.

To enable the banner, navigate to Security Training > Policy > Global Settings and check the “Add banner to phishing simulation emails” box. You can then customize the banner’s text and color. For advanced editing options, click the “Rich Text Editor” link in the top right corner of the editor to access a full HTML editor for complete design control.
