Avanan now alerts customers on important DMARC events, helping security teams act faster and maintain domain protection.

DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting & Conformance) is a core email authentication standard that helps organizations protect their domains from spoofing and phishing abuse. Understanding changes or failures in DMARC-related signals is critical, but until now customers had limited visibility into real‑time issues.

With this release, Avanan sends timely alerts for significant DMARC events via both email notifications and security events. These security events can be forwarded or ingested by SIEM platforms and accessed through APIs, enabling automation and correlation with broader security telemetry. Supported alert conditions include:

  • Error in SPF record

  • Error in DMARC record

  • Drop in daily DMARC success rate

  • DMARC reports stopped being received

  • Detection of a new failing source

By alerting on these signals, organizations can quickly remediate authentication misconfigurations, maintain DMARC compliance, and reduce the risk of domain spoofing attacks.
