Administrators can now preview HTML attachments directly from the email profile page in the Avanan portal.

HTML attachments are commonly used in phishing attacks to disguise credential-harvesting forms or redirect users to malicious sites. Until now, investigating these attachments required downloading them or relying solely on metadata. With this new capability, administrators can securely view the rendered HTML content within the console - reducing exposure while improving incident triage and response.

This feature enables faster and safer decision-making during phishing report analysis and quarantine restore workflows. Admins can validate whether an attachment is malicious without downloading it or escalating to additional tools. This improves turnaround times for restoring legitimate emails and strengthens overall incident investigation.

To preview an attachment, users must have View Sensitive Data permissions. Once granted, the preview can be accessed by navigating to the email profile page and clicking the eye icon next to the HTML attachment name.
